Dear customers and friends,

After many wonderful years as part of the Division community, it is with heavy hearts that we share Kashiwagi will be closing its doors on
December 31, 2025.

With our lease coming to an end, my wife and I spent much time talking and deciding whether we should renew it or not. After thoughtful consideration, we concluded that this is the right moment to take a
step back from the restaurant and begin our semi-retirement.

For nearly 20 years — 14 at Sushi Takahashi 2 and 5 at Kashiwagi — we’ve had the joy of serving sushi on both the west and east sides of Portland.

We are deeply grateful for the unwavering support and loyalty from our customers, friends, and all of our staff who helped us continue running.

Domo arigato. Thank you so much to everyone in our sushi-loving community for being part of our journey. We hope our paths will cross again somewhere in the city.
